Abstract

The CO₂ gas poisoning emergency response program in the Jlantah Dam Construction project area was implemented as an effort to prevent and address work risks that could endanger the safety of workers. CO₂ gas is a hazardous substance that is colorless, odorless, and can cause respiratory problems and even death if inhaled in high concentrations. This activity aims to increase workers' understanding of the dangers of CO₂ gas, strengthen skills in evacuation procedures, and ensure effective coordination between emergency times. The methods used included socialization, toolbox meetings, training on the use of personal protective equipment, and victim evacuation simulations. The results of the implementation showed an increase in workers' knowledge regarding handling emergency conditions, skills in providing first aid, and awareness of the importance of implementing an Occupational Safety and Health (K3) system. This program is expected to strengthen workers' preparedness in dealing with potential CO₂ gas poisoning in the project area and become a preventive measure to minimize the risk of workplace accidents.
